ok, i wanna start off with new gui is fine. it's overnice, its meaty, i'll miss the fun flare it had going but it'south alright.

but why is the search bar gone? like me personally, ive got over 2700 plugins to manage (which i'thou very enlightened is a problem of my own creation) and i make a lot of my own patches and then they require manual rules when they sort so my main difficulties are i) the new not a search bar search bar (the weird new carte search thingy) only works on the right console which is fine, thats how searches were before simply NOW 2) the metadata editing feature only works on the left panel which iii) the weird card search not search feature doesnt. affect.

like i try searching for the keyword im looking for, i have the plugin carte selected, i cant CLICK on anything on the right panel so i Accept to use the keyboard shortcut which defaults to selecting whatever the hell information technology wants in the left panel which right now is the unofficial patch and since things in the right panel arent numbered i cant even Roll which is why i used the search characteristic in the first place and life is pain! T^T

im coming from a place of frustration, like it'due south new so there'southward growing pains but when i run into a file my first instinct when i wanna edit a file is to click or right click it and as information technology is right now the right panel serves like basically no purpose if yous deceit collaborate with it???? and like if i have to look at the software documentation to meet if a basic functionality is nevertheless in it , that's a poorly designed interface.

i empathize if the goal is to streamline things, but that can exist washed without similar.... sacrificing features??? similar a search bar???? having a push just out in the open up to directly edit the metadata was as well 5 overnice, miss that.

i am besides in fact very aware that my windows 64 bit version could be hella borked and this could exist hella user error but also ive been using this programme for like v years and im like totally lost now then if this isnt how it's supposed to exist lemme knooowwwww

A tip: if you're in the LOOT Window, press they keycombination Ctrl+f. It should popular upwards a search bar. Hopefully, my tip can reduce your pain to search a particular mod/patch and whatsoever! :)

back to my older version, i got used to it! i prefer the erstwhile look, the search bar and the 3 points to alter a plugin metadata. The only good feature in the new version is counting ESPFE plugins.

I seem to have run into an issue with grass mods since the update. LOOT keeps putting my grass mods (Verdant, Origins of Forest and the Verdant/Origins patch) below Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods. Easily fixed by manually changing the load order, but thought I should indicate it out :)

Thank you very much for your connected support to Boodle!

Is the newest version of Boodle bewitched? I can't seem to move the window, and it looks a bit clunkier, any selection to make it look how it did before the update?

Delight explain in more than detail what you exactly mean by "I can't seem to move the window". Equally for the new user interface, we can further work and optimise information technology based on feedback we receive, only there won't be an selection to switch dorsum to the pattern of earlier versions. Nosotros've completey rebuild the GUI from the footing up, which was necessary for a number of reasons (you tin can read more on this here).

Thanks for the report, I've pushed a prepare onto our new v0.eighteen masterlist branch, that is utilised by LOOT v0.18.0.
As such, updating your masterlist should fix the issue on your finish now.

The problem before was, that Bug Fixes SSE inverse it's binder structure fromNetScriptFramework/Plugins/to
      SKSE/Plugins/

but the status for "Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.esp" in Loot's skyrimse masterlist to also employ Bug Fixes SSE hadn't been updated until at present. This has been fixed through this PR and I've verified that the set is working with the latest versions of Ordinator and Bug Fixes SSE. As such, if you lot use Boodle v0.18.0 and have updated the masterlist, you no longer should see a message to also utilise Bug Fixes SSE (that is assuming that you've installed the latest version of Bug Fixes SSE correctly).

If you still think that there's a trouble, please postal service your LOOTDebugLog.txt and a screenshot of that message.

The new LOOT loads really fast but information technology cannot sort or update masterlists or observe new updates of LOOT for whatever reason. When I try to exercise anything I become a TLS mistake. Didn't accept this issue with the previous version. I checked the debug log just there is way also much data here for me to make sense of it. Any assist would be appreciated.

It seems every bit if this detail LOOTDebugLog.txt was created using Loot v0.xvi.1:
      ?[17:ten:39.952360] [info]: Boodle Version: 0.16.i+18e28e97

Please get to C:\%localappdata%\ and rename the LOOT binder at that place to _LOOT, so add an underscore to it. After that, reinstall LOOT 0.eighteen.0 and try to start information technology over again. Does it work at present?

Attempt installing Windows updates and restarting your PC. I would also suggest to place Boodle in your anti-virus' exception list, so that your AV programm doesn't block Loot in some style.

My Windows is up to date and as far as I can tell my antivirus should exist ignoring the entire process. I am also not comfy editing my registry settings as I've also seen suggested. Thanks for your help, just I think I'chiliad just going to coil back to the previous version.

      Gummy

Attempt renaming your Loot binder in %localappdata% to _LOOT, and then outset Loot once more and endeavour to update your masterlist. If that didn't work, try restarting your PC and optionally installing Windows updates. If that also did not work, ensure that you've got TLS 1.2 enabled, run across this link for more data.

I read through the documentation, the FAQ, did some googling, and searched these posts, just I couldn't find how to exercise a "proper" upgrade from version 17 to version 18 of LOOT. In case something goes bad I too demand a expert manner to curlicue back without losing annihilation. I have a ton of Loot user metadata and I don't want to lose it! Is the post-obit a good way?

    Upgrade:
    1. Dorsum upward of current Loot install directory.
ii. Back up current %localappdata%\LOOT directory.
    3. Run v18 installer and point it to current Loot install directory.
    four. Test

    Roll back:
    1. Delete Loot install directory.
    two. Delete %localappdata%\Loot directory.
iii. Restore original LOOT install directory.
    4. Restore original %localappdata%\LOOT directory.

      Pasty

If you create your own sorting rules, these information will be stored in your ain userlist.yaml. LOOT v0.17.0 stored this file in %localappdata%\LOOT\<game>\

whereas LOOT v0.xviii.0 stores it in
      %localappdata%\Boodle\games\<game>\

So, bankroll up your LOOT folder in %localappdata%, and so installing Loot 0.18.0, then copying over your back up'd userlist.yaml to the "LOOT\games\<game>\" folder should exercise the pull a fast one on.

That beingness said ..equally our changelog for v0.18.0 reads:

Boodle will now automatically backup its existing information when a new version of Boodle is run for the first time.

So, while of form you can back up your %localappdata%\LOOT\ binder yourself if you want to exist sure, Boodle v0.18.0 should backup the existing %localappdata%\Boodle\ binder on first startup past itself, and saving that fill-in to %localappdata%\LOOT\backups\

I'thousand happy to report the upgrade went flawlessly, though I did have to install into an empty directory rather than the original similar I thought. Afterward sorting my plugins I was relieved to notice that no changes were needed from the last v17 sort. With 869 plugins and over a yr'south endeavor into getting my modlist just right, I am glad things went well. Swell job on this huge upgrade and all the fixes. :)
